LV Protection : Oil immersed circuit breaker mounted inside the tank

The CSP type transformer is fitted with a trip-free LT Circuit Breaker of suitable capacity to protect it from overloads and short circuit on the secondary side, which is mounted inside the transformer tank immersed in oil. The breaker is coordinated thermally with the transformer rating to follow closely the variation of winding temperature due to fluctuating loads and ambient temperature.

The circuit breaker is capable of being operated from the ground level by means of an operating rod. For this purpose a suitable hook is provided on the transformer tank in a suitable position for easy and safe operation of the circuit breaker from the ground level.

MCCB externally mounted on tank

The rated uninterrupted current of MCCB is used as per the rating of the transformer with overload released set as per the requirement of the customer, the MCCB used are normally thermal & magnetic trip, 1 pole, for a power rating of 0.4 lagging.

The HV protection is provided by an internally mounted fuse link inside the bushing. This fuse is flow off in case of internal faults in the transformer.

The transformer will be tested for all routine test as per IS 2026 and temperature rise will be 50/55�C in Oil/Winding respectively over a maximum ambient temperature. The transformers will be manufactured as per ANSI C 57/IS 2026, complete with fittings/accessories. Type test are special optional tests. These test are carried out at an additional fees, to be born by the customer.

These Single Phase Transformer are approved for supply to BSES, New Delhi, NDPL, New Delhi, JVVNL, Jaipur, AVVNL, Ajmer & UPPSL.
